08/10/10 More Bad News For Greenwich Millionaire Ned Lamont's Failing Senatorial Campaign

The Millionaire Emperor Has No Clothes ....

Ned Lamont Is Furiously Flushing Money Down The Toilet As More Bad News Keeps Rolling In From The Pollsters At Quinnipiac University

Hartford Courant

Quinnipiac Poll: Ned Lamont Up By 3 Points, But Too Close To Call Vs. Dannel Malloy In Democratic Primary Tuesday

The latest Quinnipiac Poll shows that Democrat Ned Lamont is ahead by 3 percentage points over former Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy, but the race is too close to call because the margin of error is plus or minus 4.6 percentage points......

.... Both Republicans and Democrats also say that Lamont suffered a setback when he initially refused to debate Malloy in the final weeks of the race in a one-on-one, televised debate .....

....The poll of likely Democratic voters shows Lamont ahead by 45 percent to 42 percent, which is closer than the 45 to 40 lead that he had last week. Overall, 30 percent of those polled said they could still change their minds before Tuesday's vote, and 12 percent said they were still undecided.

"The poll reflects what we're seeing and hearing every day on the campaign trail: Dan's got the momentum,'' said Dan Kelly, Malloy's campaign manager.....

....As multi-millionaires from Greenwich, both Lamont and Foley have enough money to air commercials in the highly expensive New York City television market. That is part of their strategy to reach voters in lower Fairfield County as the New York stations are beamed from Greenwich to Bridgeport and beyond. Many candidates are unable to afford New York television, and some believe it is a waste of money as the commercials are often seen by viewers in places like Brooklyn and Long Island who cannot vote in Connecticut. But Lamont, Foley, and U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon are all broadcasting commercials on the New York stations.

"It's really the only way to reach a broad audience in Fairfield County because 35 percent of the Republicans are in Fairfield County,'' Foley said in an interview. "We think it's a good investment for the general election.''

Foley said Saturday that he believed that Lamont has an advantage over Malloy because of the New York City commercials, but he agreed that the race is getting much tighter.

"It could be a jump ball, and he's up in New York and Malloy isn't, so it's his to lose,'' Foley said

PLEASE don’t forget to go down that line and vote for all the races. I can personally vouch for the character, integrity and intelligence of these people, and Connecticut will be a better place when they take office.....

08/10/10 Vote for Rick Torres Today

Rick Torres for Congress 2010

August 10th 2010

Vote Rick Torres Today

Rick Torres for Congress

November 2nd is not just about lower taxes, or reducing the deficit, or stopping one small part of the progressive agenda. This November you will vote for one very simple thing: whether or not to remain a free person.
For generations liberal Democrats have forced their programs upon one segment of our society, to disastrous results. Now they seek to do the same to the rest of us. The inner cities of America, from Bridgeport to Detroit, are sad glimpses into the future we will face under continued Democratic leadership.
Those in the inner city, particularly African-Americas, are kept in the bondage of dependency by a cruel political machine that makes them slaves to Democratic politicians. I know this to be true because this same system of dependency is how Fidel Castro holds power in Cuba, where I spent 7 years of my life living under tyranny. Every day that the government grows is another day in which you will lose more of your freedoms.
My opponent, Dan Debicella cannot win this November. Dan Debicella cannot win because he does not understand the fight. This is not just about lower taxes, or reducing the deficit, or eliminating one item off the liberal agenda. This election is about your God given right to be free. Moderate Republicans like Dan Debicella do not comprehend the lengths the Democratic Machine will go to to stay in power. The bribery, the cheating, the election day fraud. When I ran for mayor in Bridgeport in 2003, I saw with my own eyes busses of people being paid $20 bills, with packs of cigarettes, and with cans of beer as they arrived at the voting booth.
1/3 of all Democrats in this district live in my city of Bridgeport. In 2008 when Chris Shays lost, he lost the overall election by 10,000 votes. He lost Bridgeport by 23,000.
We Conservatives have abdicated our duty to defend this country. We did so because we failed to realize how each day our freedoms were being taken from us. The battle for this country is not in the suburbs, or in rural districts. Our freedom will be won or lost in places like Bridgeport.
If you nominate me today, I will take our just cause to the heart of liberal oppression in America. If you nominate Dan Debicella, you will allow the liberal agenda to progress. If you nominate me today, I will defeat Jim Himes in his own backyard. If you nominate Dan Debicella Jim Himes will be reelected. If you nominate me today, I will put us on the path to restoring our freedoms. If you nominate Dan Debicella we will continue to see our freedoms fade.
I am Rick Torres and I am the only Republican who can beat Jim Himes and restore our freedoms. I need your vote today. Thank you

P.S. If you are still undecided on how to vote, please watch the final TV debate here.

Sincerely,

Photobucket
