Alex Ostberg, a junior at Darien High School, broke the Connecticut high school state record for the 3200-meter race last Friday at the Loucks Games meet in White Plains, N.Y. He placed second in the race with a time of 8:52.64, besting Chad Bendtsen's previous Connecticut record of 8:58:16 in 2010.
