Dyslexia panel, film offered for Darien parents

The Special Education Parent Advisory Committee , Darien public schools and the Darien Library are co-sponsoring a screening of "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia" on Oct. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Darien Library. A panel discussion after the movie will include individuals featured in the film: Dr. Sally E. Shaywitz , the Audrey G. Ratner Professor in Learning Development, and Dr. Bennett A. Shaywitz , the Charles and Helen Schwab Professor in Dyslexia and Learning Development, both at the Yale University School of Medicine and co-directors of the Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity ; the Lucas family, and school district administration.
