Blustery winds buffeting southwestern Connecticut, the leading edge of a cold front that has triggered an overnight freeze warning for the region, are causing scattered power outages -- including nearly two dozen customers in Darien as of this morning. The 21 customers who have lost power as of 10 a.m., according to Connecticut Light & Power, is roughly 0.26 percent of the overall 8,011 in town.
