If you travel at night on Interstate 95 after 9 p.m. near Darien this construction and survey work may slow you down: In Stamford, work on two Route 1 bridges over Interstate 95 will close the left lane for "southbound" traffic on Thursday night in sections not far from Exit 9. The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced the projects in separate news releases earlier this week. The lane closures and exit ramp closure run from 8:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. in Stamford and from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. in Norwalk.
