Vote Rick Torres Today
Rick Torres for Congress November 2nd is not just about lower taxes, or reducing the deficit, or stopping one small part of the progressive agenda. This November you will vote for one very simple thing: whether or not to remain a free person. For generations liberal Democrats have forced their programs upon one segment of our society, to disastrous results. Now they seek to do the same to the rest of us. The inner cities of America, from Bridgeport to Detroit, are sad glimpses into the future we will face under continued Democratic leadership. Those in the inner city, particularly African-Americas, are kept in the bondage of dependency by a cruel political machine that makes them slaves to Democratic politicians. I know this to be true because this same system of dependency is how Fidel Castro holds power in Cuba, where I spent 7 years of my life living under tyranny. Every day that the government grows is another day in which you will lose more of your freedoms. My opponent, Dan Debicella cannot win this November. Dan Debicella cannot win because he does not understand the fight. This is not just about lower taxes, or reducing the deficit, or eliminating one item off the liberal agenda. This election is about your God given right to be free. Moderate Republicans like Dan Debicella do not comprehend the lengths the Democratic Machine will go to to stay in power. The bribery, the cheating, the election day fraud. When I ran for mayor in Bridgeport in 2003, I saw with my own eyes busses of people being paid $20 bills, with packs of cigarettes, and with cans of beer as they arrived at the voting booth. 1/3 of all Democrats in this district live in my city of Bridgeport. In 2008 when Chris Shays lost, he lost the overall election by 10,000 votes. He lost Bridgeport by 23,000. We Conservatives have abdicated our duty to defend this country. We did so because we failed to realize how each day our freedoms were being taken from us. The battle for this country is not in the suburbs, or in rural districts. Our freedom will be won or lost in places like Bridgeport. I am Rick Torres and I am the only Republican who can beat Jim Himes and restore our freedoms. I need your vote today. Thank you P.S. If you are still undecided on how to vote, please watch the final TV debate here. Sincerely, |

Did you support Obama’s healthcare bill? Jim Himes voted yes. Dan Debicella would repeal it and replace it with a reform that focuses on cutting the cost of healthcare.
The $800 billion stimulus financed by borrowing? Jim Himes voted yes. Dan Debicella wants to repeal the remaining stimulus and replace it with a payroll tax cut.
Cap and trade? Jim Himes yes. Dan Debicella no.
End the secret ballot in union elections. Again, Jim Himes yes. Dan Debicella no.
On Election Day, vote for whoever agrees with you.
Congratulations, Dan Debicella, on your decisive primary victory. Anyone who wants to support Dan can do so here: https://debicella.blue-swarm.com/donate/.
Building a new majority in the House of Representatives is the most direct route to bringing balance to a government that is spinning out-of-control on spending, taxes, and regulation. The incumbent Jim Himes clarified where he stands – with us when he visits Fairfield County but with Nancy Pelosi when she needs his vote in Washington.
Dan has a different set of values – he is running for Congress “to restore the values of free enterprise and individual liberty to Washington. Fairfield County families want practical solutions on the economy, healthcare, and transportation. I will use my background as a businessman and a State Senator to implement new ideas to get our economy growing again and create jobs for our families.
All the answers coming out of Washington are for “more government”—whether bailing out banks, taking over auto companies, building record deficits for pork-barrel stimulus, or having government take-over our healthcare system. Our current Congressman, Jim Himes, has been a rubber-stamp for this big government agenda. I believe there is a better way. Through solutions that support small businesses and empower middle class families, I believe that we can get our country back on the right track.”
Our government is pushing measures that will make our country poorer, more vulnerable, and less free. It is time to push back.
