Darien Liquor Stores Split On Lowering Drinking Age To 18

A Minnesota lawmaker has proposed lowering the drinking age to 18 and the New York Times recently ran a debate on the decades-old question , but Darien liquor store operators are split on whether it would be an effective step. Jim and Pam Love of Glen Liquors believe the drinking age should be lowered from 21 to 18, but say the most important thing would be to educate young people so that they don't endanger themselves or others.
