Darien Police Invite Public Comment For Accreditation

A team of assessors from the Police Officers Standards and Training Council will arrive on Friday, Feb. 27, to examine the Darien Police Department policy and procedures as they relate to Tier II, I Liability, II Professional, II General Management of the state accreditation standards. Verification by the team that the department meets the POST Council's state-of-the-art accreditation standards is part of a voluntary process to gain accreditation -- a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.
