Winter Storm Watch Issued For Darien; 6-12 Inches Of Snow Likely

Frigid wind chills will slowly start to release their grip on Fairfield County this weekend, but a new snowstorm is headed our way ushering in the start of February for overnight Sunday into the beginning of the workweek. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch that starts at 7 p.m. Sunday, shortly after the Super Bowl kicks off, and lasts through Monday at 6 p.m. Steady snow is expected to start sometime after 10 p.m. Sunday with accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible overnight.

A Darien busboy charged with selling marijuana out of the Post Road restaurant where he worked was arraigned on drug charges at state Superior Court in Stamford on Wednesday.
