Windows Smashed, Thousands In Cash, Items Stolen From Cars In Darien

The windows of three cars were smashed at the Darien YMCA last week and thousands of dollars worth of items were stolen, including $16,000 in cash and a $50,000 Rolex, according to police. The thefts all occurred within a short time at the YMCA on Post Road on the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 13, police said.
