The Darien Superintendent Search Committee has chosen Daniel Brenner, current chief of the schools in Roslyn, N.Y., as its choice to lead the Darien school system and will recommend his appointment to the Board of Education at a meeting Tuesday, Jan. 27. "Dr. Brenner has the professional qualifications and personal qualities to lead the district forward in a positive and constructive way," the committee said in a statement. "We anticipate that Dr. Brenner will be appointed on Jan. 27 for a three-year term starting July 1." Brenner has been superintendent for the Roslyn Public Schools since 2009.
