Darien police want local businesses to be aware that a group called the "Darien Youth Sports League" doesn't exist in this town, and police are asking state consumer protection officials to look into a marketing company soliciting advertising to support the group. After a phone call from a company called Youth Sports Publications, businesses get a follow-up letter claiming to support the "Darien Youth Sports League," according to a news release Thursday issued by Darien Police.
